The Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN) is calling on Nigerians across the world to vote for Chelsea and Super Eagles player, Victor Moses in the ongoing vote for “BBC African Footballer of The Year 2017.” This is as it congratulates Moses for placing Nigeria on the list.
Victor Moses, aside from helping Chelsea to win the English Premier League title and finishing second in the FA Cup, was instrumental to Nigeria’s qualification for the 2018 World Cup in Russia, scoring three goals in the process.
Moses is competing alongside Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Naby Keita, Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah, with the winner to be crowned on Monday, December 11, 2017, live on BBC World TV and BBC World Service Radio, starting from 17:35 GMT.
The BBC Sport and BBC Africa websites will also carry the announcement. Voting closes at 1800 GMT on November 27, 2017.
To vote, log on to http://m.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/41890718, click on Victor Moses and submit.
“Victor Moses has played his role through his performance, which has put a Nigerian among the BBC Sport ‘best football players in Africa’; it’s time for Nigerians to appreciate his contributions and encourage the country’s quest for a superpower status in world football by voting him,” SWAN posited.
